Author's Note: Within the historical context of my 'verse, the Christmas season technically started on Christmas and ran through Twelfth Night. Author's Note: Hey everyone, I'm still alive! *waves* I know it's been forever since I posted anything. I haven't abandoned my ficverse, I've just had trouble completing anything. Writer's block, depression...blah blah snore. This started as a random ficlet to break the block, and it expanded. There is a Gillington spinoff to this that I'm almost finished with. It was actually supposed to be Part 2 of this story, but it has sort of mutated into its own thing. (It will possibly become a series of mrs_norrington has anything to say about it. So when you read it, remember to blame her! ;) ) So I'm posting this as a stand alone.

Torchwood Icons

Before I started writing fanfic, making icons and wallpapers were my specialty. So when I had writer's block a few months ago, I got bored and started playing around again and made these icons. Typical of me, I never got around to posting them. Until now, anyway. :) I know there are some Torchwood fans on my f-list, so I hope you enjoy them.

As for PotC fic and my Gillington 'verse, I'm working on two multi-chaptered wips at the moment, one of which I hope to have finished by the end of the month. *crosses fingers* When I do finish it, I plan on posting it in weekly installments while I finish work on the second one.

The wonderful and talented

lineae has drawn a beautiful illustration titled "In the Jungle" based on my description of James Norrington in One Perfect Day. It truly is gorgeous - , so check it out over at her journal if you haven't already. I don't believe anyone could have captured the image I was trying to describe more perfectly, and I'm honored that she found inspiration from it. Thank you again, you have no idea just I love this! *hugs*

Author's Note: I've always thought it strange that there aren't many fics out there dealing with the psychological impact the battle at Isla de Muerta would have on the Navyboys. Even though the term post-traumatic stress disorder didn't exist back then, I think that most people who would live through that would suffer some serious mental and emotional trauma. They would not just be okay. So this my take on what happened, seen through the eyes of Lieutenant Gillette. This fits into my Once Upon a Time fic-verse, though this piece stand alone.

Since I can't seem to finish anything I've been working on, and because I needed to do something productive before I go completely insane, I went back and edited this piece than mrs_norrington and I collaborated on...oh, sometime last September. While it might help to have read OUAT, backstory is provided within this one so it can be read as a standalone. I've been tinkering with this thing for ages now, and I'm finally happy with this chapter. :)

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to post anything new. I haven't had writer's block, so much as writer's overload. I've had so many ideas for different stories that I got bogged down, trying to sort them all out. I've started 3 different projects in the last month, including this one, and a 4th is in the brainstorming stage.
